UA Rink Rules


 

Union Arena Community Center is located on the grounds of Woodstock Union Middle & High Schools and is subject to the same rules as that school. Please note that all rules are strictly enforced.

 

Please help us allow everyone to have fun by following these simple rules:

  1. No smoking anywhere in the building or on school property

  2. No drugs or alcohol on the property

  3. Do not bring firearms, weapons, fireworks, or any dangerous substance onto the property

  4. Please watch your language and behavior

  5. No horse play or fighting

  6. HAVE FUN!!

In addition to the general rules above, the following pertain specifically to the public skating sessions:

  1. Obey the UACC Skate Guard at all times

  2. Skaters skate at their own risk

  3. Only those wearing skates allowed on ice

  4. Please skate in a counter-clockwise direction, or in the same direction as everyone else

  5. No food or drinks allowed on the ice

  6. Do not kick or chop at the ice with your skates

  7. Please do not play "tag" or chase others

  8. Do not throw balls, coins, or other items on the ice, as this can causes others to fall

  9. Do not slide on the ice or make / throw snowballs

  10. No more than two skaters may hold hands No trains or crack-the-whip

  11. Do not sit on the wall of the ice or enter the penalty box areas

  12. Please enter and exit the ice via the doors

  13. Hockey sticks and pucks are not allowed on the ice during public session

  14. No jumps or spins during public session

  15. No one is allowed on the ice while the ice is being resurfaced. The rink doors must remain closed until the Zamboni doors are closed and the UACC Skate Guard allows skaters on the ice

UACC management, at their sole discretion, reserves the right to remove any individual from the building and school property for violation of any of these rules.

 

Please report any negative behavior to

the Skate Guard and / or UACC Management immediately
