THE ICE WAS GREEN?
That's right! St. Patrick's & the Pot O'Gold brought Gereen Ice to Woodstock!(click image for full size)

Ice is brought down to 1/2" using the edger and Zamboni. Then a green Clearcoat is applied using a boom sprayer mounted on an RTV (designed by UA Facilites Mgr, Rick Martin). Shamrocks are painted on the face-off sots and sealed before the Ops Team builds the ice back up to 1.15" thickness for the weekend.

UNION ARENA COMMUNITY CENTER
Union Arena is located at the Woodstock Union High School and is managed by a nonprofit corporation. No tax dollars are used to fund the Arena. The Arena is an Ice Rink from October to March and has summer ice from late-June to the end of July. In Spring and Fall the Arena transforms to a combination field house (site for High School spring practices) and sports & events center.
